While Shake Shack has not set an exact opening date in Denver, it has decided to appease the masses temporarily with its ShackBurgers and crinkle fries. Danny Meyer’s cultish fast food restaurant will pop up at The Source, 3350 Brighton Boulevard, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 24. Interested eaters should RSVP but are not guaranteed entry to the first-come, first-served event. In addition to burgers and fries, Brooklyn Brewery’s ShackMeister Ale will be on tap at the RiNo Yacht Club. Rules for participating are stringent: Each person can only order two burgers, no doubles and no substitutions.
Shake Shack is anticipated to open at 30th and Larimer by spring inside a 3,500-square-foot space with a 1,000-square-foot patio. The restaurant’s interior will feature reclaimed bowling alley tables. On the menu will be frozen custard concretes like the Shack Attack, as well as Shack Stacks, SmokeShacks, and Chick’n Shacks.
