MORE TACOS NEWS: A third Denver location of Tacos Tequila Whiskey is now open at 215 East 7th Avenue in Governor’s Park. At its newest spot, the locally owned business will have the same modern street tacos that customers know from its City Park and Highlands stores. See lengua, asada, hongos (mushrooms), and mahi mahi, to name a few. But an all-new cocktail menu will soon be available, along with daily happy hour and breakfast. [303]
PIZZA HANDOVER NEWS: Pizzeria Da Lupo in Boulder has closed to become the next Vero location, Westword reports. Chef Andrea Frizzi, who also owns Il Posto and Vero inside Denver Central Market, expects to take around 10 days to convert the space. Frizzi took over Da Lupo at 2525 Arapahoe Avenue in late 2017, following the sudden passing of its former chef. Beyond Boulder, Vero will be expanding to Denver International Airport later this year. NEW SODA SHOP NEWS: Fort Collins just got a modern diner, bar, and soda fountain in Union, which opened last week. The new building in the city’s River District has a mid-mod design, a prominent center bar, and a sprawling outdoor patio. Union comes from the partners behind Social, Fort Collins’ premier speakeasy and cocktail bar, so customers to the new outfit can expect high-level drinks, now mixed into milkshakes and floats. See also champagne cocktails, coney fries, and sweet tea-brined fried chicken platters.
