LATE-NIGHT TACOS NEWS: Los Chingones now has a late-night neighbor and sister spot with the opening of Los Lounge. The new bar and restaurant space is attached to the popular RiNo taco joint, at 2461 Larimer Street. It will serve a smaller version of Chingones’ menu from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Full service at Los Lounge starts at 4 p.m. on those nights and takes place across a bar and lounge seating. And a new outdoor patio will extend the party that’s usually happening on Los Chingones’ rooftop.
NEW TO GOLDEN TRIANGLE NEWS: Ad Hominem has replaced Charcoal in the Golden Triangle, Westword reports. After a brief renovation, the new restaurant opened over the weekend at 43 West 9th Avenue. Chefs Chris Martinez and Catie Reece (both formerly of Rioja) are serving up a small international menu, featuring Venezuelan cachapas, yakitori octopus confit, and pork bao buns. Dinner dishes range from $12 to $35, and lunch is also served daily. [Westword]
GLUTEN-FREE DINNER NEWS: Denver’s gluten-free and Paleo diners are in luck: Just Be Kitchen has introduced dinner service from 4 to 7 p.m. nightly. The 1-year-old daytime cafe now offers evening meals that are all gluten-, grain-, and refined sugar-free. Menu items include the chicken “biscuit” sandwich with gremolata, “baconaise,” arugula, and sweet potato salad; and the crave burger with slaw, pickles, baconaise, arugula, and a gluten-free bun (pictured below).
