Popular LoHi wine bar Postino is getting a second Denver location at the 9th and Colorado development, currently under construction along Colorado Boulevard. The 26-acre, mixed-use site at the former University of Colorado Health Sciences Center announced its first restaurant tenants Monday.
In addition to Postino, a Hopdoddy Burger Bar and Zoe’s Kitchen are coming to the corner of 8th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Though individual business’ opening dates will vary, the whole project is slated to finish by late 2020.
Hopdoddy and Zoe’s are usual suspects for the retail plaza. Postino, based in Arizona, currently only operates one other restaurant in Denver, which opened in 2015 at 2715 17th Street. The brand also has six locations around Arizona and one in Houston. Postino LoHi has become known for its wine-filled happy hours, weekend brunch, and mix-and-match bruschetta.
The 9th and Colorado development is a joint project from CIM Group and Continuum Partners (see also Belmar and Union Station). In addition to restaurants, the site will house residential buildings, offices, retail, open spaces, and an AMC Theatre.
Correction: A previous version of this article misstated the name of the former building at the 9th and Colorado development. It is the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
