July 11 will be La Sandia Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar’s last day of service, as the family-friendly restaurant from the Richard Sandoval Hospitality team ends its lease in Park Meadows. The restaurant has been operating in Lone Tree for a decade.

Across town, the second La Sandia Cantina will remain open for business in the Northfield Stapleton development. This will be the third recent restaurant closing for Sandoval; Zengo and La Guera shuttered last year in Riverfront Park.

La Sandia’s menu highlights casual, comfort food, serving brunch, lunch, happy hours, and, at the Vistas of Park Meadows, rooftop dinners with a view. For the handful of weeks leading up to its closing date, the Mexican eatery will dish out specials such as $15 bottomless brunch cocktails and $2 Taco Tuesdays.

Richard Sandoval Hospitality, based in Denver, bills its food as contemporary Latin cuisine. The prolific restaurateur still has a handful of Colorado operations, including Venga Venga and Toro in Snowmass Village, Maya in Beaver Creek, and Tamayo in Denver.
