A Beloved St. Louis Barbecue Spot Has Arrived in Denver

Sugarfire “Westy”

St. Louis-based Sugarfire Smoke House has opened its first Colorado outpost in Westminster at 14375 Orchard Parkway. The restaurant known for its brisket, pulled pork, and ribs also has a full bar with Colorado beers, cocktails, and boozy milkshakes. Started by chef and pit master Mike Johnson, the barbecue brand has 10 locations across Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, and now Colorado. The Westminster store starts serving at 11 a.m. daily. No word yet on future outposts around Denver. [DBJ]

Method LoHi

Method Collective has begun normal coffee business hours at its new Lower Highlands location, 2011 West 32nd Avenue. The retail shop run by nearby Method Coffee Roasters features a full coffee bar as well as a small convenience store operation. It sits at the base of the new Alexan LoHi at Dickinson Plaza, a five-story apartment complex. Cafe food items for now consist of pastries and bagels, according to 5280, with prepared breakfast and lunch plates forthcoming. Method is open from 7 a.m to 4 p.m. daily. [5280]

Ted’s LoDo

Capitol Hill’s old cheesesteak spot will soon make a comeback in LoDo at 2020 Lawrence Street. Denver Ted’s closed last May at Pearl Street and East 13th Avenue with plans to move downtown by last summer. More than a year later, the restaurant has announced on social media that it’s finally close to reopening, The Know reports. The partnership with Ice Cream Riot will debut sometime in July, with a grand opening date to be determined. [DP]
