Restaurateur Kevin Taylor’s Mila gets ready to debut his Mediterranean-inspired downtown restaurant for an announced fall debut.

The restaurant replaces the shuttered Urban Roadhouse Downtown at the base of the Denver Place high-rise. The Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group and executive chef and partner Austin Cueto will oversee the bright dining room that features coastal undertones, including glass tiles and a color palette of turquoise, lemon, and sand.

Gordon Sign installed the new sign over the door and the restaurant is currently hiring, placing successful employees with Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House before moving them over to Mila later in the year.

Located 999 18th St., a short walk from My Salad Cup, Mila sits on the opposite side of the building from Michael Beary’s Zocalito Latin Bistro, also looking for a fall debut, and next door to the breakfast favorites of Syrup.

Mila plans to be open for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday with a daily happy hour and dinner only on Saturdays. The interior will feature a 16-seat bar, a 48-seat wine cellar, and 2,000-square-foot patio with room for an additional 100 guests.

Already scheduled for the future menu, pasta, pizzas, fresh seafood, salads, porchetta, branzino, and Colorado lamb sausage pizza.
