A long-term ambition and first publicly shared back in 2015, Italian beer maestro Alex Liberati is now firmly on track for the summer debut of his Liberati brewery, bar, restaurant, and store.
Expanding beyond its original “oenobeer” production concept, the 24,00-square-foot Curtis Park location at 2403 Champa Street, inside the former Downtown Denver Warehouse, has been installing fermenters, kitchen equipment, a grape press, and a “mozzarella lab” to create house-made straciatella, mozzarella and burrata.
Bread will also be made daily and available in Liberati’s store, expected to also carry the house specialty, an uncommon Italian grape ale.
Now featuring an easy-to-spot Technicolor exterior, the brewery has added 40 parking space and multiple bike racks.
Already previewed for the “authentic provincial Italian cuisine” menu, a savory cannoli, created with fish, sweet pepper sauce, and crunchy toasted almonds, pasta, gelato, salume, lasagna, and ravioli featuring ricotta and saffron.
