Oyster and Rosé Happy Hours — And More Ways to Eat Around Denver This Weekend

All the makings of a proper mid-summer

Oysters and rosé bottles are on special Fridays at this Larimer Square restaurant
Ocean Prime [official]

Happy hour: Ocean Prime

Swanky Larimer Square standby Ocean Prime is featuring half-price Veuve Clicquot rosé by the glass on Fridays — along with $1 oysters — as part of a Stop and Sip the Rosé summer lineup.

Lunch: Cilantro & Perejil

New food truck Cilantro & Perejil will be parked at Renegade Brewing this Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. serving guajolote enchilada sandwiches, burritos, al pastor street tacos, and chilaquiles, among other menu items.

All day: Masters of Food & Wine at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek

This weekend the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek kicks off its six-week food and wine series with a Wagyu beef butchery demonstration and conversations with local farmers about sustainability. See also a steak dinner and live music.

Dinner: Corrida

The fourth-floor patio at this new Boulder steakhouse features fire pits and a view of the Flatirons. Start with classic tapas like spinach and garbanzos, then move on to the steak or the octopus. One of a handful of Spanish gin tonics will pair well with just about anything from the food menu.

Late night: Middleman Bar

This new neighborhood night-owl on East Colfax offers a fun selection of boilermakers — Hamm’s with fernet, High Life with sfumato — alongside compact cocktail and beer lists. But the New Mexican food is the big and pleasant surprise here, featured on small plates of stacked enchiladas and sopapillas and inside bowls of posole.
