Arizona-based healthy food chain Flower Child opens its first Colorado outpost Wednesday on Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder. The brand brings poke bowls, veggie wraps, and kale salads, as well as an avocado hummus, inside a bright, social media-in-mind setting.

“Why drink anything that doesn’t look pretty?” asks a recent Flower Child Instagram post. Daily juices, seasonal lemonades, and a house kombucha are included in the restaurant’s drink lineup, which also offers organic wines, “Skinny” beers, and Prosecco spritzes.

On its website, Flower Child markets healthy food that “takes you to a happy place.” The restaurants’ decor features color-splashed backdrops with inspirational quotes like, “Radiate from within.” There are designated parking spots for yoga mats.

Food options abound for the sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, and otherwise restricted eater. On Saturday, August 25, Flower Child also will host a free lemonade stand outside neighboring McGuckin Hardware.

Status: Starting Wednesday, August 22, Flower Child opens from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at 2580 Arapahoe Avenue. For more information, visit the website.
