Westminster’s popular fast-casual barbecue destination GQue Championship BBQ will open a second location at the Vistas at Park Meadows complex in Lonetree, Colorado, at 8433 Park Meadows Center Drive. Its south metro area sister restaurant will also include The Ice Cream Farm, making homemade ice cream daily using fresh milk from Longmont Dairy flavors such as strawberry honey balsamic, pancakes and syrup, and cherry vanilla. Ice cream cakes also arrive at this new location.
The menu also features favorites found at the original GQue, including the restaurant’s chicken, ribs, brisket, and pork as well as smoked turkey, chicken wings, jalapeño cheddar sausage, sandwiches, and sides including Granny Smith apple coleslaw and baked beans.
St. Louis native Jason Ganahl started his professional barbecue career as a competition barbecue judge before competing in regional competitions, and winning numerous awards. GQue earned honors from the Rocky Mountain BBQ Association’s for team of the year in the Mountain Time Zone; grand champion, reserve grand champion, or third overall in 69 percent of contests entered, and coming in sixth in a national competition for brisket since opening in 2015.
