Two more neighborhood names have added to the recent spate of Denver restaurant closures. Earlier this month, sister spots the Rosedale and Atticus shuttered on Evans Avenue in Platt Park. The Rosedale lasted two and a half years there, while Atticus stayed open four and a half years next door. Their websites ask customers to visit the third restaurant of the bunch, South Downing Street’s Blackbird Public House.
Part of Table to Tavern restaurant group, the Rosedale and Atticus offered diners a neighborhood pub and bistro, respectively, serving Colorado beers and spirits as well. They were situated in a space that has seen openings and closings of multiple sports bars — see previously Boone’s and Fagan’s. Located in the former Handlebar Tavern, Blackbird combines its siblings’ efforts, creating a neighborhood restaurant with pizza, oysters, and shuffleboard in West Wash Park.
No word yet on plans for the Rosedale and Atticus spaces. Table to Tavern owners Brian and Angie Midtbo could not immediately be reached.
