Broadway Market, a food hall that will open later this year in the Golden Triangle and Capitol Hill neighborhoods, has announced its first vendor: Pizzeria Coperta.
The restaurant is from acclaimed Denver chef Paul C. Reilly along with his partners, sister Aileen V. Reilly and JP Taylor Jr. The pizzeria will serve two styles of Roman pizza and Roman street food.
The chef behind the popular and award-winning beast + bottle and Coperta restaurants aims to expand his vision of Coperta, which serves the cuisine of the region around Rome. On the menu will be items like pizza al taglio, Rome’s version of pizza by the slice, and Pizza Romana, which is made-to-order thin crust pizza with a variety of toppings. Street food options will include suppli al telefono, a rice croquette filled with mozzarella, and fried vegetables.
Broadway Market is located at 950 Broadway Street and is from local developers Eclectic Collective, whose team helped open Stanley Marketplace, The Source, Zeppelin Station, and Avanti Food & Beverage. The space will include seven other food vendors and some retail. Eclectic Collective has enlisted Snooze AM Eatery founder Adam Schlegel to recruit chefs to open within the food hall.
The team plans to announce additional restaurants this fall.
