RiNo’s Zeppelin Station already has banh mi sandwiches, poutine, gelato, and bibimbap. Now Nashville hot chicken enters the fray. The Budlong Hot Chicken opens its first brick-and-mortar location in Denver at the food hall today.
Chicago restaurateur Jared Leonard and his wife Amanda already have their Montreal smoked meats stall Au Feu in Denver’s Zeppelin Station, along with a food truck version of their The Budlong, which has five Chicago locations. In January, the couple opened AJ’s Pit Bar-B-Q in the Overland neighborhood.
The new food stand at Zeppelin plans to serve those Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, along with tenders, a chopped chicken salad version of the dish, hot chicken plates, and jumbo wings from $9 to $17 all doused in one of four levels of heat ranging from naked to “X hot.” Mac and cheese, collard greens, fries, biscuits, and farm slaw make the sides menu. Banana pudding is the only dessert option.
Zeppelin Station, 3501 Wazee St. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
