Scott and Nicole Mattson, the duo behind Denver’s jazz supper club Nocturne, Colorado Natural Wine Consortium founder Troy Bowen, and veteran wine professional Joel Kampfe of the ENO Wine Bar brand are behind Noble Riot.
The opening wine list highlights a rosé of Valdiguié and Barsotti Vineyard Gamay from Jolie-Laide, an Out of The Meadow White and Post Flirtation White from Martha Stoumen Wines, and a Flora & Fauna Italian Varietal Red from Idlewild. New wines to Colorado include a Finca Maggio, Valle de Calingasta Tinto from Argentina by Cara Sur, and a full-skin contact Semillón by Plop!
“The Noble Riot crew went on a research mission to California last August and hooked up with a number of small producers who are making wines with incredible personality and energy” Mattson says in a press statement. “We’ll be featuring these producers along with a few new natural wines that will be exclusive to the Noble Riot list”.
Noble Riot also offers gourmet cheeses, charcuterie, and crudités, along with an elk tartare, venison meatballs, house-made pâtés, and more.
Coming up, a Flight Club, an interactive wine classes that range from beginner tastings to master courses, as well as a patio in the alley opening this summer.
Noble Riot, 1336 27th St., 303-993-5330. Open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.
