DENVER — Drinkers in the city may soon be able to carry their cocktails, beers, and wines from bar to bar. A proposed five-year pilot program filters its way through Denver City Council’s business committee, and if the proposal eventually passes, Denver joins Aurora, Greeley, and Fort Collins, which already have “common consumption areas.” The idea allows patrons to take a drink from one bar to the next, where they would sit in a designated area to consume their adult beverages. Businesses would have to apply for a permit. The Denver Post reports that the committee meets again in June. [The Denver Post]
