Clayton’s industrial park is about to get a new photo and event space, complete with its own coffee shop. Realm opens on June 8 with 3,508 square feet of space meant for hourly or daily rentals.
EB and Jonathan Combs and Rachel Nichols founded the space, modeled after similar venues found in Amsterdam and Los Angeles for meetings or events.
Amethyst Coffee from owners Elle Jensen and Breezy Sanchez opens its third cafe within the venue. Amethyst plans to serve its regular menu, including tasting flights, the first of which will feature a Panamanian Gesha from Carmen Estate and roasted by Commonwealth Coffee. Each coffee will feature a different house-made water.
Kelly Meeks of Meek Vintage furnished the venue with its 18-foot ceilings, exposed beams, a corner cyclorama wall, and warm neutral tones with natural light and texture. Meeks found vintage pieces that can be used for styled shoots and events. Seating, patterned rugs, wall hangings, and more serve as props for lifestyle or product photography, workshops, special events, meetings, or team retreats. The space offers a mezzanine with a conference room with a 10-top table overlooking the café and studio space, equipped with AV capabilities, while 1,129 square feet of the front entrance will be occupied by Amethyst and the patio.
Realm at 3851 Steele St., Unit B, is available for rent from Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Amethyst Café is open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
