Food truck Chicken Rebel now has a hone inside Avanti Food & Beverage, at least for the next four months. The fried chicken specialist takes over the American Grind space in the food hall.
American Grind, the burger and sandwich restaurant that opened at Avanti Food & Beverage in 2017, graduates to its own restaurant space at 431 E. Bayaud Ave.
Chicken Rebel serves fried chicken sandwiches, salads, and tater tots for a pop-up through September. The food truck got its start in San Diego and came to Denver in July 2017. In addition to the pop-up at Avanti, Chicken Rebel will keep its food truck running and is still planning to open a full restaurant at the end of the summer next to Mythology Distillery in LoHi.
Chicken Rebel plans to offer chicken and waffles, chicken and vegetarian salads, Nashville hot chicken street tacos, and vegetarian fried chick n’ options. Everything on the menu will be under $15.
Chicken Rebel, Avanti Food & Beverage, open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
