One of the original restaurants in RiNo, quaint neighborhood spot the Populist will shutter on August 10. The establishment has sat on North Larimer Street for seven years. Owners Jonathan Power and Noah Price are shifting their focus.
“We’re incredibly proud of everything our team has done over the years,” explains Power in a press release. “It’s been an unbelievable journey, and we want to celebrate everyone who has been a part of this family as an employee or guest of this restaurant. Deciding to close this chapter has been difficult, but we want to go out with a party, just like we began.”
“I just want to thank everyone that’s been involved with The Populist over the years,” says Price. “Employees, guests, our purveyors; the Populist has only been what it is because of all of you.”
The last day for the restaurant is August 10 — they suggest reservations. Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10, will be walk-in only to allow as many guests as possible.
