Instagram-Bait Pastries Make a Comeback at Voodoo Doughnuts

Kooky shop Voodoo Doughnuts will bring back its Miami Vice berry creation in August. It’s a raised-yeast doughnut dipped in vanilla frosting, with blue raspberry dust and pink sprinkles. It’s very ‘80’s and only around for a limited time.

Community rallies to support restaurant

After television station CBS4 broke the news that employees at Pizzability were being harassed by passers-by, followers flooded the restaurant to show their support. Pizzability hires special needs workers and many times they could hear people outside the restaurant saying disparaging things. Former special needs teacher/owner Tiffany Fixter told CBS4 that since the news came out, she had never seen so many customers in the store.

Food truck settles down

Mobile wood-fired oven Basic Kneads Pizza will put down roots in the former Halu Sushi & Asian Bistro space at 17525 South Golden Road. Look for the same pizzas, with the addition of salads, appetizers, desserts, and booze this fall.
