Chef Lon Symensma opened BorraCho Tacos in May 2018, inside Avanti F&B, serving six tortilla-filled combinations as well as a few bowls and a breakfast burrito. Today is the last day for the cantina at Avanti. The restaurant sent out the following statement:
BorraCho Tacos will be open in Avanti Food & Beverage until July 31st, when it’s current two- year lease expires. Chef Lon Symensma and the entire ChoLon Restaurant Concepts team are very thankful for the time we spent in Avanti. We opened two test concepts during our two years in the space, Kaya Kitchen and BorraCho Tacos, and both were great learning experiences and test concepts for us as a group. We do not currently have plans to continue a BorraCho Tacos concept in a brick-and-mortar location, but we do have other exciting projects on the horizon! For now, we plan to focus on our two new downtown concepts, LeRoux and Cho77.
