The third Denver area location of Walter’s303 Pizzeria and Publik House, which will be located in Denver’s Lowry Town Center, is targeting to open next week.
Trent Brotherton, an investor in the new location at 200 Quebec St. who is also handling marketing for it, told Eater the shop’s owner is hoping to open the restaurant on Monday, Aug. 26 or Tuesday, Aug. 27.
However, Brotherton said the exact date is still undecided because construction work on the space is still being finished up. This story will be updated when an opening date has been confirmed.
Brotherton said the new space will consist of a 3,200 square foot restaurant with an occupancy of around 100 people and a 600 square foot patio. That will make the Lowry location the chain’s largest restaurant.
The new Walter’s303 will serve all of the menu items available at the other locations in Uptown, Bow Mar and Colorado Springs and maintain a focus on good pizza and good wings.
Brotherton said the chain’s offering in the latter category were named the best wings in Colorado by Buzzfeed in July while the pizzas come in both regular crust and deep-dish varieties.
Walter’s 303 also offers lasagna and a selection of salads, baked subs and calzones. Brotherton said the Lowry location’s larger kitchen will also likely lead to eventual experimentation with offering pastas and other unique dishes that are not presently available at other locations.
The new Walter’s will also include 26 beer taps and four wine taps. Those beer taps will offer a regularly rotating selection of beers from both in- and out-of-state brewers chosen by beverage manager Stacy Turk.
It’s unlikely that this latest Walter’s303 will be the last in the Denver area. Brotherton said the team behind the local chain, which began 10 years ago when the first Walter’s303 opened at 1906 Pearl Street, is currently considering a possible location in Highlands Ranch.
