Golden mainstay Bonfire Burritos is leaving behind the trailer it has long called home for a brick and mortar location at 2221 Ford Street.
According to a press release, Bonfire Burrito will relocate from its current trailer on the property of the Native Nursery at 17025 S. Golden Road about a mile down the road to Ford Street in either late September or early October.
The move was prompted by an exponential increase in demand spurred primarily by the trailer’s implementation of online ordering and catering. The burrito trailer has at times had to employ a commissary kitchen to accommodate large catering orders but will no longer need to do so at the larger space.
The new location will also be more central within Golden and offer easier access to students at Colorado School of Mines and people who work downtown, according to the release.
The Ford Street space is the former home of Golden Frames and Gifts. It is being remodeled to include a full bar as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Additional parking is also being added.
Bonfire Burritos currently serves a variety of breakfast and lunch burritos, plus four types of street tacos. However, the menu will also be expanded at the new location according to a press release.
Bonfire Burritos is owned by Golden friends Raymond Pierandozzi, Ian Lanier, Travis Toms, Matt King, and Sky Schnautz, who purchased the business in 2013.
