From non-profit coffeehouses to a shirtless local baristas calendar and precious pour-over bars, Denver's coffee scene is abuzz. The nuances to the various cups of joe available in the Mile High City are significant. Educated customers and fanatic loyalists all have their favorites, but these 20 cafes and shops are positioned conveniently around town (plus one in Boulder) and good for a quick cup, coffee date, or solo work day. At most, the Wi-Fi is strong. At others, there’s still a newspaper.

Note: Not included are a number of new shops around town. Find those here. Did we leave out your go-to coffee shop? Send us a note.
