The boozy slushie boom of 2017 returns this season, and it’s more colorful and stronger than ever. As spring rushes into summer along the Front Range, these 14 local spots are whipping up iced and spiked creations to cool down their drinkers. The summer frozen rosé, or frosé, is back this year but it isn’t the only option. From tiki cocktails at Adrift to boozy shakes at Milkbox Creamery, Denver’s frozen cocktails range from sweet and creamy to strong and served over shaved ice. Another round, please.

Swanky’s, a LoDo fixture and Green Bay Packer refuge for 20-plus years, is the only place in town to find Everclear-infused slushies. Daily changing specials and happy-hour deals give drinkers the option to top off their slushie with a shot.
