Denver Deep Dish at the Bar Car is hosting a pizza-eating contest during its Kentucky Derby party. The challenge will be to down a large three-topping pizza in an hour. Entry is free if you finish, but if not you'll have to pay for the pie. Contestants will receive a T-shirt and pizza coupon, while the winner will leave with bragging rights and a trophy.
Reivers Bar & Grill will open at 10 a.m. for brunch and cocktails. Brunch will be served until 2 p.m. and guests may also order off the standard menu featuring Smokehouse BBQ sandwiches, burgers, salads and more. All day, in keeping with the cocktail tradition of Derby, Reivers will offer $5 Mint Juleps featuring Woodford Reserve bourbon.

Pre-Derby brunch starts at 11 a.m. A three-course brunch is available for $32. Bottomless mimosas and Grey Goose Bloody Marys are $15. A post-race party starts at 4:35. The restaurant is also offering a three-course authentic Southern dinner that night starting at 5 p.m. for $60 per person.
