Join the crew at Central Bistro with your race day caps to enjoy drink specials and derby-inspired food. The party starts at 2 p.m. and the race will be shown in the bar and on a big screen projector in the dining room. Derby drinks include Grey Goose Cocktails and Woodford Reserve Juleps for $7.
Watch the Kentucky Derby here while enjoying Session-style southern snacks like frog legs with parsley sauce, Kentucky hot brown buns and chocolate walnut bourbon cookies. Event begins at 2 p.m. and the race will be shown upstairs. $30 includes food and Southern cocktails are available a la carte. Prizes for the best derby attire.
The favorite LoDo spot will show the Kentucky Derby race and offer an untraditional mint julep with bourbon, mint, sugar, and a splash of ginger beer served in a copper mug, a la Moscow mule style for $6.
The party at Atticus goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $45 and include two classic cocktails, a buffet, and some friendly gambling. There is a hat and bow tie contest with prizes. Tickets can be purchased at dand@tabletotavern.com.
Denver Deep Dish at the Bar Car is hosting a pizza-eating contest during its Kentucky Derby party. The challenge will be to down a large three-topping pizza in an hour. Entry is free if you finish, but if not you'll have to pay for the pie. Contestants will receive a T-shirt and pizza coupon, while the winner will leave with bragging rights and a trophy.
Reivers Bar & Grill will open at 10 a.m. for brunch and cocktails. Brunch will be served until 2 p.m. and guests may also order off the standard menu featuring Smokehouse BBQ sandwiches, burgers, salads and more. All day, in keeping with the cocktail tradition of Derby, Reivers will offer $5 Mint Juleps featuring Woodford Reserve bourbon.
Bonus: there is a derby hat contest.

The Corner Office is celebrating the Kentucky Derby with $6 cocktails such as the Woodford Reserve mint julep punch, Grey Goose La Poire, and the Cocky Jockey. They will also be serving $3 Hot Browns: house roasted turkey breast, smoked cheddar, applewood bacon, and gravy on a pretzel bun.
Pre-Derby brunch starts at 11 a.m. A three-course brunch is available for $32. Bottomless mimosas and Grey Goose Bloody Marys are $15. A post-race party starts at 4:35. The restaurant is also offering a three-course authentic Southern dinner that night starting at 5 p.m. for $60 per person.
