Denver has long been a coffee lover’s town. After all, Mile High citizens were already regularly sipping on lattes and cappuccinos when residents of many other burgs were still content to start each morning with a sugar-filled cup of sludge from a fast food drive-thru.

But the town’s caffeine obsession has truly reached new heights in recent years as new cafes and roasters have begun to pop up on seemingly every block while the city’s increasingly coffee knowledgeable residents have embraced trends ranging from single-origin beans to cold brew (its different than iced coffee).

Though Denver is now home to too many great coffee joints to name in one (reasonably concise) list, these 20 cafes and shops all offer some great joe, whether one is searching good for a quick cup, a coffee date, or a place to get some work done.
