Almost like finally celebrating the coming of spring, Cinco de Mayo has inspired a multitude of outdoor patio parties and many refreshing drink specials. There are pig roasts, barbecues, rooftop parties and more at Denver's favorite watering holes that range from classic Mexican-themed ones like Tamayo and Mezcal to bars like Candlelight Tavern and Lil' Devils eager to celebrate with Mexican beers and more.

Lola is hosting its fifth annual Picnic of Pig, featuring eats from Drew Hardin of Lola, Brandon Foster of Vesta Dipping Grill, and Amos Watts of Jax Fish House. There will be live music from 2:30 to 10 p.m., a pig roast starting at 4 p.m., as well as specials on drinks all day.

Jake's will host its 2nd annual pig roast. DJ IPOT will spin latin vibes from 1 to 4 p.m. and Jon Romono y Amanacer will play live on the patio stage from 4 to 8 p.m. Drink specials and the pig roast with plenty of fixings will be offered.
First there is a $35 Bottomless Margarita Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Later in the day, Tamayo is hosting a rooftop patio party for Cinco de Mayo. A DJ will be spinning and drink specials will be offered. The festivities will take place from 7 to 10 p.m.

Central Bistro and Bar

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Central Bistro & Bar celebrates Cinco de Mayo with brunch. The restaurant is offering Mexican-inspired specials including our huevos rancheros and breakfast burrito, both of which most certainly must be washed down with our Tejon Margaritas.
The Cinco de Mayo Weekend Fiesta at Mezcal features $2 Al Pastor Street Tacos, Gran Centenario Margaritas for $6.50, Cocojadas for $6, and more. A Mexican BBQ will be smoking out from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Live music will be played on the patio from 4 to 7 p.m. with pitchers of margaritas and sangrias for $20 each all day (usually $28), along with bottomless chips and salsa. A pig roast will also take place on the patio through the evening with made-to-order pork tacos.

Rio Grande Mexican

To honor Cinco de Mayo, Rio Grande will offer $2 Cuervo shots, $5 Patron shots, door prizes and more.

ChoLon Bistro

In honor of the popular Mexican holiday, ChoLon is offering two drink specials. From 5 p.m. to close, the restaurant will serve the Full Moon Margarita and the Honeysuckle Margarita, both for $6.
